Latern in Rockery Garden Approach to gate Small fir tree in rockeryI can’t believe the amount of snow that has fallen in the last 72 hours.  Talking to long time residents in the Fintry Delta, they have never seen this amount of snow, record-breaking amounts. The good thing about this though is the heavy snowfall has provided a protective layer on all my shrub, vegetable and flower beds insulating the plant material and bulbs.  I also wanted to note that my winter greens are still putting on a good show (urn arrangement below).

It was a perfect opportunity for me to get outside and capture scenes of not only the Findleberry Garden but the Fintry Delta as well and just wanted to share this with my readers.  As I look out to the outside dining area, it is hard to believe that only a few months back we were dining ‘al fresco’.

It is good to have the contrasting seasons and enjoy each one in its unique way.
