Winter Wonderland
Winter has arrived. It is always lovely to experience the first snowfall of the season. Both the garden and the Fintry delta magically changes. Each year the scene varies. The beaver has started to create a dam again which has caused the creek to flood in some places. This has started to freeze and may eventually provide a little ice skating area.
Meanwhile back in the Findleberry garden we have admired the various birds at our feeders. In particular, we were very surprised to see a couple of western blue birds the other day – a very unusual sighting in this area. The red breasted finches have been in abundance as well as the northern flicker and black-capped chickadees.

I love to see the snow on the trees and appreciate these quiet winter moments.
