August Wedding Shoot
On occasion I assist Mark Your Moments Photography capturing wedding events. I tend to concentrate more on the settings and detail of the couple’s special day. I was honoured to be at this particular shoot as I experienced many different traditions; this family really knew how to celebrate and it made the occasion a most memorable one. Right from the time the bride was getting ready to the bride and groom’s first dance, there were plenty of unexpected and moving moments. One tradition that I thought was lovely is the bride presents a smaller version of the wedding cake to her mother-in-law who in turns makes a speech accepting her new daughter-in-law into the family.
The wedding decor was very simple in sharp contrast to the colourful bridesmaids dresses. The flower bouquets boasted red and white roses for the bride and white roses for the bridesmaids. Some of the photos included jewelry interspersed throughout the flowers including the wedding rings of the bride and groom.
I had immense fun taking photos of this wedding and look forward to the next shoot.
