I just love this time of year when you can just pop in the garden and gather an array of flowers to create a summer flower arrangement. With guests arriving for the long weekend, I always like to place vases of flowers in their bedrooms. It reminds me of when I used to visit my mum-in-law in the UK. There was always an arrangement of sweet peas by the bedside and my sister-in-law went one step further with beautiful arrangements in the whole of her home. (The display below contains lavender, a small bush pink rose, sweet peas, shasta daisy, white sidalcea and a very fragrant yellow/pink rose).
My neighbor too has guests arriving today who are staying in her carriage house (The Fintry Delta Guest House) so it didn’t take me long to put another arrangement together for them. This time I experimented with putting honeysuckle in which gives it a “whimsical” look.
HAPPY CANADA DAY!
