I was inspired by a recent Facebook post to once again take fall photos of Fintry Provincial Park. Every year around this time, with camera in hand, I capture the changing foliage throughout the park. The post on Destination BC was requesting people to send in some of their favourite fall photos. This prompted me then to take an array of fall photos and share with my followers my favourite photos in Fintry Provincial Park.
First up of course is “The Avenue”. Many years ago the trees along this driveway to a house on the Fintry estate were specially planted. Each year I like to take photos of this walkway now throughout the changing seasons.
The colours of the trees along Shorts Creek are intense and with the clear blue sky in the background, it really shows off their golden-yellow and orange colours.
The views below are along the beach by Fintry Provincial Park and the boat launch. My family and I have come to this park for many years and we are very fortunate to now actually be living next to it.
Please visit: www.env.gov.bc.ca/bcparks/explore/parkpgs/fintry/ to discover more on the heritage and history of this park. Of course it is also a great place to camp, but register early with BC parks as it has become a very popular spot.
