Unfortunately part of my last post was not published.  I wanted to mention that I am continually “dead heading” my hanging baskets and containers.  In order to keep continuous bloom all summer long, if you get into this routine, you will be rewarded with long lasting blooms.  I fertilize the baskets and containers as well once a week with “Miracle Gro”.  This too helps maintain them and keeps them looking lush.  

Annuals do have their place in the garden particularly when there is a lull with the blooms of the perennial plants.  They certainly add a “punch” of color to the garden.
