It is very easy to quickly put a spring container together to brighten up a corner. As the weather has turned a little cooler, it certainly cheers up my day being greeted by this splash of colour by the front step.
Start off with a suitable container and some good potting soil. Appropriate spring flowers are pansies, violas, primulas, spring bulbs and a feature plant (in this case I used the white muscari and the deep rosy pink ranunculus). I am always looking for contrasts so the white violas and the white muscari (grape hyacinth) work well against the primulas, violas and ranunculus.
It only takes a few minutes to put this all together and is relatively inexpensive to do.
